MP-1 PROGRAMMING ADAPTOR
FOR MIDLAND XTR, SYNTECH-II, BANTAM AND TITAN SERIES
CURRENT AVAILABILITY (EFFECTIVE SEP 2019)
ten years following its introduction in late 2005, nearly 400 of our
hugely popular XTR1 and its successor (the MP-1, pictured
right) have been supplied into the USA and Canada markets
exclusive regional distributor Bob Gass N4FV at Greene County Communications.
There was in 2005 - and still remains currently - no economic way to provide either kits or assembled/tested MP-1 programmers for the XTR, ST-II, Bantam and Titan series to these areas from here in Australia via assured delivery. That was the initiating factor in Bob's engagement. Unfortunately for personal reasons, Bob has decided to terminate that arrangement and has ceased activities relating to Midland radios. His website no longer exists, but the wealth of useful information it held over more than a decade can still be accessed via the "Wayback Machine".
For a time we were able to provide printed circuit boards with assembly notes and parts list for user assembly, but stocks have been exhausted. We no longer hold stock of boards here in Australia.
As an interim measure, we have supplied a stock of our printed circuit boards to:
Charles N Widenhofer II
20418 Merriman Rd
ROMULUS MI 48174
Callsigns: W8CNW & KE8DNX
to whom enquiries regarding availability should be directed.
We have explored possible alternative distribution arrangements for the USA/Canada area, and remain open to approaches. If there is the opportunity to establish a long-term distribution arrangement we will provide those details on this page.
Please contact us with any other enquiries regarding the programmer.
