THE  ‘SKYLINE’  70-1000X  PROGRAMMING  SYSTEM

KNOWN  ISSUES  WITH  RELEASED  SOFTWARE

On this page we will detail any known issues with the software that we have distributed to 70-1000X owners.

Z-273 - PROG273.EXE

ISSUE:  "Ghosts" in scan lists
AFFECTED VERSIONS:  ALL

Scenario

When Scan Group Membership is selected from the main menu, a check is made that there are already at least two Rx frequencies (i.e. enough to scan!), and if this is not the case a message-box appears stating this requirement and aborting the selection, returning to the main menu.

Once in the scan list entry form, each user entry is validated against the current Rx channel list.  Selections that do not point to a valid Rx frequency are rejected.  On exiting the scan entry form, scan lists are saved.  All the preceding functionality operates correctly.

However, if - subsequent to entering channel numbers in a scan list - one of those channels is deleted from the channel table, the scan list is currently not reviewed at that time or updated to reflect this inconsistency.  (Subsequent entry and departure from the scan forms will catch up with the discrepancy on the scan list viewed, but this should NOT be relied on.)

Impact

None.  The microprocessor steps over unprogrammed channels in the scan list.

Solution

In the next version released, a warning message will be displayed when this situation is detected, providing the user with the opportunity to rectify the inconsistency.  In the interim, users should revisit their scan lists after deleting any channels and check that listed channels exist.

Z-350 - PROG350.EXE

As above.   We anticipate that the impact will be the same - NONE - as in the Z-273 case.  Testing in the near future will confirm if this is the case.

Z-383 - PROG383.EXE

As above.   We anticipate that the impact will be the same - NONE - as in the Z-273 case.  Testing in the near future will confirm if this is the case.
